Automotive: Protects painted surfaces, wiring, and plastic or rubber tubing from heat damage, and prevents the distortion of welded stainless-steel components.

Welding: Prevents surface discoloration of welded stainless steel, protects surrounding surfaces from flames, stops weld spatter from adhering to nearby areas, and shields valves in close proximity to the weld zone.
